The Fall arrived right on schedule here in Chattanooga. The leaves were beautiful gold, red, and orange starting in October and now we are starting to see the beginning of winter as the leaves are pilling up into nice jumping stacks.
We've been having so much fun, I forgot to stop and blog about it!
My mom came out for two weeks in October, and as always it was wonderful to have two sets of hands on deck 24 hours a day! I was a little spoiled with all the help, it was wonderful.
Max decorated some pumpkins for halloween. A pirate and a mummy.
Decorating with out the mess = perfect.
Pirate Max. Sooo, Max, I thought, had moved on from being a pirate for Halloween. He said he wanted to be a skeleton. So I bought Max and Lorelei matching costumes. Well, when my mom got here Max decided he wanted to be a pirate. So, with two days until Halloween we went exploring to find a pirate costume. And boy did we find one or what! Hat, hook, sword, belt and all. He even got to wear his skeleton pajamas after all.
Fighting pirate Ryan at their house. Here in chattanooga everyone went trick -or- treating on Saturday, so it worked out well since we don't trick-or-treat on Sunday.
Philip, I mean Dr. Scherer the hippi, I tye-dyed this white coat for Philip to wear to work for the Halloween celebration at the hospital. He was a hit.
The Halloween party with friends in TN. We love our Tennessee friends!
They even had a bonfire with marshmellows to roast. To top it off, our bishops wife was handing out full size candy bars from costco. It was alot of fun! Max trick-or-treated the entire neighborhood.
The bonfire
Max put together a gingerbread haunted house. Then ate it.
You know you're in TN when an arachnid is outside your house and it's bigger then your hand.
Philip took Max trick -or-treating around our neighborhood on wednesday before Halloween. It was fun to see all the kids dressed up.
Our happy baby. Lorelei is a happy baby - as long as she's fed and she's moving! No holding still.
Yeah Max! Max filled in an entire section of his Backyardigans potty chart so he earned a prize for his success. Which was a trip to target to get a seamonster/pirate toy. We're making progress in the potty department. He is doing very well. Philip and I told him he could have a guinea pig when he filled in the whole chart, so now we can't get him off the potty. Thank you G-Force.
Scurvy Dog Max. That's what he calls himself.
So max has names for all his pirates; captain hook, scurvy dog, heros, knight, Max, Mikey, and I don't know where they come from. He also has a gun that he likes to carry in his "holster". I told him there were advantages to wearing underwear...
This is captain hook Max, wearing scurvy dog hat. That's what he told me.
Lorelei. She's ever attentive to Max and growing up so fast! She's so much fun and quite the talker.
Silly kids. Always having the best of time together.
