Graduation Day

The Graduate Dr. Philip Scherer

Philip played the violin at the commencement ceremony. He played beautifully, people said it brought tears to their eyes. He played Meditation from Thais.

The Hooding, as it is called.
Philip's really inspiring mentor Dr. Duff, who is the Dean of Student Affairs Hooded Philip.
The Family was here in full force. My parents flew in, my Dad flew straight in from Venezuela where he had been bone fishing. My Mom was here helping us pack to move. Philip's Mom and Dad, Sister Ingrid and Family and his Brother Kurt and Family all came to support and celebrate with us! It was so much fun. We love to see all the family. Philip's family has all been down this path before and they have been nothing but lovingly helpful and encouraging.

This is Philip with his Sister Ingrid and Brother Kurt.
The three beautiful girls are Ingrid  and Mike's(not pictured) daughters- Katerina, Julianna and Ashley.

The Photographer.
Papa Scherer is always taking pictures so when you get a shot of him you have to display it!
We love Papa Scherer and are grateful for his love and encouragement.

That night we celebrated with a large dinner. We ate at the Japanese Restaurant Miraku. The kids had lots of of fun running around and feeding the fish.It was alot of fun. We got to sit by Tommy, and he was a better show then the chef! Oh Tommy, you are so funny! He was waiting for the chef to pull a chicken and stickers out of his hat.
Kurt and Allison and family came to celebrate. They didn't have to drive quite as far as everyone else, because they live 3 mintues away from us. We are excited that they will still be in Gainesville when we get back. They have always been a great support and we are actually doing the same program in Tennessee as Kurt and Allison.
Isabella (kurt and Allison's)
We blessed Lorelei Sunday morning at our house before Stake Conference. Elder Nelson came as a special Guest speaker for the conference. I forget that many people have never heard an apostle speak from the pulpit. We have heard them speak many times at BYU, so the spirit was really special at the building.
The cousins. Lorelei, Juliana, Max, Ahmari, Andrew, Tommy, Ashley, Katerina, Joshua and Isabella. It's fun when they all get together.
Three of the Seven Scherer siblings.
Mike and Ingird Roberts. They drove into town from Crestview. We're so glad they could be here to celebrate with us. We love their family very much.
Aunt Allison, Ashley, Katerina and Max.
