Atlanta Temple Celebration!

The Time has come! President Thomas S. Monson will be coming to Georgia next month to re-dedicate our beautiful Atlanta Temple.

This is what it used to look like, after 28 years of service they closed it down for some time, and renovated the temple. It looks quite a bit different now, but I don't have a picture of it yet! We are so excited to have it open again.

As part of this exciting time President Monson contacted Atlanta and personally requested a Special Youth Cultural Celebration to be held the evening before the dedication.  Not all dedications are given the opportunity to perform for the prophet. We feel so blessed and are really excited!

I, Natalie, was then asked to help make the COSTUMES for our youth to participate in their dance portions of the celebration! Whoa, it is a large undertaking considering there are 41 youth, but I am so excited to be apart of this historic event. I feel so grateful to be given an opportunity to indirectly serve the prophet of the Lord.

So for the next two months I will be making Salsa skirts and Revolutionary War Solider costumes. Wish me luck, and if anyone in the Chattanooga area wants to help sew, you are welcome to help!

That's awesome, Natalie! We just pulled out the starfish costume you made for Julianna when she was in the 1st grade musical...and seriously, I am still in awe of your amazing talent!
