Julianna, the cutest Starfish in the sea...

My niece, Julianna, was in a play at school and she asked me to make her a pink starfish costume.

This was the end result.

She's so cute. She's in first grade and because she's so smart, she memorized all her lines and was awarded the part of the starfish. I left for California before the play happened, but I did get  to hear her recite her lines at each fitting.
She is a very talented first grader! I had a lot of fun working with Julianna to complete the costume. I would like to point out her fabulous taste in fabric.

Thankfully, my mom was here at the time and could help me think through the details as I pieced together a costume with no directions!

That starfish costume WAS amazing and the talk of the show! You are so talented and it was even more impressive that you created that costume from scratch with no pattern or anything! You are the sewing queen! We miss you!!!!
